Now that, for reasons of political revenge, a group of people wants to revisit the pandemic era to settle scores, I wonder, When will those who held power at the time—and ignored the severity of the crisis while deaths mounted, or promoted wild theories like injecting disinfectants or treating oneself with horse dewormer, or spread misinformation about vaccines, or through their irresponsible behavior spread the virus among people who were not to blame for their own stupidity—be held accountable? How many died because they believed these people or interacted with them? If we’re going to demand accountability, shouldn’t we include all those people who, through their irresponsibility, led to a higher death toll?
And now something else
Since we are talking about the pandemic years, let me share with you a short comic I did back at that time for a project. The idea behind it was simple: do something about how you feel regarding the quarantine and how it had affected, or not, your work and life as an artist. Here is what I drew…
