Granting wishes
The GOP seems to have its priorities very clear. Unfortunately, those priorities are not aligned with those of the American people.
Little helpers
Congress will go on Christmas break without voting on an extension of Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies. This was just the latest trick by Speaker Johnson after enough Democratic and Republican congressmen forced a vote on the issue. The fact is that Johnson, who likes to flaunt his religious beliefs, couldn't care less about his fellow citizens affected by the healthcare crisis, those suffering because of price hikes, or the victims of Epstein. He only cares about keeping his true master, Donald Trump, happy, even if it means doing the work of the devil, not God. Click in the image below to see an exclusive comic about this:

We live in a world where a few who have the most have convinced the majority that their problem is those who have the least. And to make matters worse, these insatiable billionaires do so in the name of a religion whose teachings on charity, caring for the poor and foreigners, kindness, and empathy are not only ignored but mocked and even criminalized.
Something else
Anyone who values democracy, justice, and freedom must denounce authoritarianism wherever it exists. For years, Venezuela has been under the control of a perverse dictatorship that has robbed its people of their oil revenues, rights, freedoms, lives, and elections. It's no surprise that millions of Venezuelans have been forced into exile. We can talk later about opportunism and the best or worst ways to get rid of dictatorships, but we cannot allow dictators to manipulate the situation to paint themselves as victims.

Fantastic visuals here. That line about "a few who have the most convincing the majority that their problem is those who have the least" cuts through so much noise. I've noticed this patern intensify over the past few years wher economic anxiety gets redirected downward instead of upward. The cartoon format makes the absurdity of it impossible to ignore, which honestly might be more effective than a thousand policy papers.
